BABES News and Notes

Thanks for a great season!

With only one more scheduled ride left in 2004, an Ice Cream Social Ride, it's time to reflect on one of our best seasons ever!

We saw lots of new faces during the course of the year, that can be attributed to this Web site and the newsletter we send to our regular riders. It also helped that the BABES were mentioned in the July 2004 edition of Bicycling magazine in its "Bikes on the Loose" feature of great club rides in the United States!

Christine Warta deserves special credit for initiating her series of Ice Cream Social Rides and having a fish ride during the summer. We hope to see more of you take the initiative to come up with rides in 2005.

A big round of thanks to ride leaders Arlene Willmann, Elaine Moore, Jerry Whittle and Roger Kramer. It takes a lot of time to make up routes and create maps, and the effort is much appreciated. Also, thanks to Glen Peterson, who filled in as a ride leader on several Wednesday nights.

Finally, the biggest round of thanks go to you, the cyclists who joined us over the course of the 2004 season! WIthout you, the Belleville Area Bicycling and Eating Society wouldn't be what it is!

We are looking forward to an even better 2005. If you have ideas for rides or new towns to explore on our regular rides, contact us at babes@rogerkramercycling.org. We hope to see lots of you next year!

We send our e-mail newsletter as a blind carbon copy to protect the privacy of other people on the mailing list. Some spam filters may not allow the newsletter to come through, and if you have one of those, we'll work to find a way to help you get your newsletter.
