June 12-18, Grand Illinois Trail And Parks ride: The
League of Illinois Bicyclists puts on its third annual GITAP
ride using much of the Grand Illinois Trail in the northern
part of the state. The ride begins and ends in Joliet and visits
several state parks, including Starved Rock State Park and
White Pine Forest State Park. The cost of the ride is $320,

June 20-24, Katy Trail Ride 2005: The Missouri
Department of Natural Resources is sponsoring a five-day, four-night
tour
of the
nation’s
longest developed rail-trail, Katy Trail State Park. This year’s
ride will average 45 miles per day and will travel east to
west starting
in Clinton, Mo., and ending in St. Charles. For more information

2-8, Bicycllinois: Experience six days
of worrying about nothing but cycling and having fun. Cyclists
will travel an average of 82 miles each day, 492 miles total,
across
Illinois from Cairo at the very southern

Sept. 10-11, MS 150: This ride in
the hilly countryside near Bloomington, Ind., has been a favorite
of many BABES riders for years. It features two days, each
with routes of 50 miles. Once again, the ride will be based

hilly countryside near Bloomington, Ind., has been a favorite
