Stop the press!!!

Not the only common thread is that "They took place when it was dark outside." Don't forget, they all involved cyclist, the west side of the Mississippi and in the confines of St. Louis. Bad city!

So be careful, stay out of St. Louis on your bike and don't cross the river ever. Stay home and hide in your bed or drive your car to a nice safe bar on the east side from the hours of 11pm to 4:30 am when these crimes occurred.

Then you can drive home in daylight when nothing bad ever happens and motorist and the public are nice to all cyclists independent of race, religion or state of citizenship.

Curly: "Great we'll having parking for two."

Moe: "But they're three of us".

Larry: "OK but new construction remains a dream".

Responsible biking is a healthy and green alternative to obesity and pollution; promoting it and designing complete streets for everyone makes far more sense than creating laws hindering people from bike use. These vests are expensive and do not fit everyone. One state had a law for a time that all automobiles needed a running light when the engine was running, a white light in the center of the grill;another short lived idea to re-invent the wheel that failed and bilked the public.

It's sad that we have to fear having our bicycles and vehicles stolen so much these days. I remember leaving my bike out in my front yard when I was a kid, and it was never stolen... Nowadays you look away from your bike for one second and *poof* it's gone!

I read a security article a while back that suggested using a cable/chain lock and U-lock together, because thieves usually carry tools to bust one or the other but not both. And if your destination will allow it, take the bike in with you. (Folders, anyone?)

Great info on the ingo bike! Here is a youtube that shows one being ridden.

I understand you kind of have to get in synch in order for it to work and that it is harder than it looks.
